green lantern

The green lantern was located in battle mountian, down the road from the owl club. This is where rex spent his time, "being faithful" to his wife rose mary. It was a house where prostitutes worked. This is also the place billy was talking about when he told jeanette to kiss him, because it would show him how nice the girls where at the green lantern

Billy

When jeanette was living in battle mountian, she was playing hide and seek with a few children. A kid named billy, who told everyone that jeanette was his girlfriend; jumped into the shed with her. He had raped jeanette but she wasnt old enough to even know what that was so she kept it to herself.

mary s black elementry school

 

This is mary s. elementry school, battle mountian. This is where the walls kids attended school when they live in battle mountian. This is also the school where rose mary started teaching for awhile to make exrta money while rex hunted for gold.

Battle mountian

Battle mountian is where the walls family lived for quite a long time. They moved into a wooden building on the edge of town, it used to be a railroad depot. This is where rex was searching for gold, to make the glass castle.

first grade

when jeanette was in the first grade, she was smarter then average kid. She was always the kid who got to read out loud and was able to put her hand up and answer every question. A few days after she started school, four mexican girls followed her home and had jumped her. When jeanette had reached home, her father didnt even care that she had been beat up on her way home. That told the viewer that the walls parents werent able to raise a child with love and care.

Stick of butter

When the children were starving, jeanette had came home and lori was eatting a stick of butter with sugar on it. It showed how the walls family couldnt afford to support their kids. It also made me a connection that these children should of been put into foster care, because the parents arent able to look after their children if they were so hungry they would steal from kids lunches and eat sticks of butter. 

Forgotten

While the family was driving. Jeanette had fallen out of her car. she had sat and waited hours for them to come back, and had the feeling they werent. This shocked me because what kind of parent wouldnt notice that their child fell out of their car, and just kept driving. It showed the neglect and irresponsiblity the parents had towrads raising a family.

The first move to las vegas

  After rex had checked jeanette out of the hospital "rex walls style". The family had packed up in the middle of the night and moved to las vegas for a short time. On the way to las vegas the family had thrown the cat out the window because it didnt like to travel.
